New stockist: Navan Garden Centre!

Announcing exciting news for all garden enthusiasts: Rain & Wild candles are now available at Navan Garden Centre. Located just outside Navan on the Kentstown Road, if you haven't already gone in for a wander, it's a must.

For those who share my passion for garden centres, you'll understand the joy they bring. Every visit is a treasure trove of discoveries – whether it's a gift for yourself or a loved one (...it's usually yourself), a new addition to your floral family, or finding some essential plant care items (because let's face it, everything in a garden centre feels essential).

What sets Navan Garden Centre apart is not only its extensive selection but also the expertise and warmth of Colm and Frances, whose friendly advice can turn even the most novice gardener into a green-thumbed aficionado. And you might even catch a glimpse of Max, the dramatic pug, whose antics provide a touch of entertainment – like the time he dramatically fainted at the vet's, much to everyone's surprise (and likely, horror!).

This is genuinely one of my favourite places to go with my mam - we often lose ourselves in discussions about our grand garden plans (that may never see the light of day) or simply attempt to smell every single one of the blooming roses – inevitably leaving with yet another addition to our growing collections. It's a sanctuary of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, a chance to reconnect with the earth beneath our feet.

As I write these words, I can't help but smile at the sight of my giant sunflower seeds germinating, alongside delicate delphiniums, and the ever-reliable basil. One can never have too much basil!

There's an undeniable sense of hopefulness that comes with nurturing life from seed to bloom, a reminder that amidst life's uncertainties, there's always beauty waiting to unfurl in the soil beneath our fingertips.
